I come offering the notion of a new kind of land comm geared only for a certain fandom, or a certain type of fandom. A land comm is basically a community where members are divided into teams and take part in fulfilling certain challenges, usually varied amongst fan fic, art, captions, and games, to see who can reach a certain score point first, but though the members are divided and all are trying to bring their team to reach the goal first, they remained united in their love of the fandom. For the type of land comm I'm suggesting, members would still be divided into teams and would still be trying to see who could score the big number first, but the challenges would all be fic based. ( Read on if interested. )

Josef is still my favourite subject to practice my drawing skills. The last one was done this morning. Hope you enjoy :)

Alex with Taylor's Gift founders, and President, Todd and Tara Storch, at a 2010 Donate Life Charity Event

For those who aren't already aware, Alex is currently supporting a charity organisation by the name of Taylor's Gift Foundation.

On the 15th of March 2010, Taylor Paige Storch's young life was cut tragically short following a skiing accident at the age of 13. Out of
tragedy came hope, when 5 people's lives were saved thanks to Taylor becoming an Organ Donor. The Taylor’s Gift Foundation was founded in 2010, by Taylor's parents, Todd and Tara Storch, with a mission to Regift Life, Renew Health, and Restore Families. Delivering events, speaking engagements, and fundraisers, the Taylor's Gift Foundation aims to teach, and educate audiences about organ donation, and the precious gift of life each one of us can give.

Taylor's Gift are currently in the running to win a 150k media package through the Team Escalade Texas, Cadillac Charity Challenge.

This email from Alex was forwarded onto myself, as a representative of the Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Donate Life, with thanks to Taylor's Gift President, Todd Storch, who was able to contact Alex's personal assistant, and get permission for Alex's message to be shared with me for the purpose of getting info out to the fandom at large.

it's been a while. I picked up the pencil to practice my reference drawing skills. Josef was the lucky one ;). Hope you like it. Only took me 20 minutes, which was quite a shock to me.

I'll be doing a few more of him to get back into drawing him and to find the visual markers of his face.

I'm so happy about this. I've been in contact with Moonlight's creator, writer, and former executive producer, Trevor Munson, for a while now (he is seriously one of the sweetest, most genuine people I've had the pleasure of getting to know recently). I've also been doing charity work for the past couple of years with a fan based organisation called 'Alex O'Loughlin Fans for Donate Life' (Alex became a Donate Life Ambassador and Spokesperson during his role as Dr Andy Yablonski on the short lived TV series Three Rivers). The group works in conjunction with Donate Life Hollywood (our founder, Sabine Atkins, was lucky enough to be invited to attend the Donate Life Film Awards in 2010, and meet with Alex), I'm set to take over as main administrator in a couple of months time. I invited Trevor to be an official Patron of the group a couple of days ago, and he said yes!
